Contra Dance with Mattie Rynkiewicz and the VGM Con Contra Dance Band

Swing your partners all! Join dance caller Mattie Rynkiewicz for a contra dance – this is a participatory folk dance tradition from New England that requires no complicated footwork. Step in time to the music of some of your favorite video game tunes adapted for a fiddle-powered folk dance band. You’ll learn how to take hands four, circle, dosido, allemande, swing, and more. This workshop is sure to get you smiling from ear to ear. We’ll see you on the dance floor!
