Charles Ritz is thrilled to bring his electrifying soul-pop renditions of his favorite tunes to the VGM Con stage! Based in Brooklyn, NY, Charles is a multi-instrumentalist and arranger who has been a part of the VGM community for almost 10 years. Charles draws from his soul, funk, and pop backgrounds to put an exciting spin on classic songs, and can’t wait to present them with a phenomenal 8-piece band.
Recent performances as a bandleader include a show at the Belvedere Lobby Bar at MAGFest 2023, as well as his senior recital at Berklee College of Music, featuring an hour of original Sonic arrangements. As a sideman, Charles has performed with acts like Zoe Sparks, Dov Beck-Levine, and DiscoCactus, always bringing his excitable, dancey energy to every show he plays.
