DK Adventures is a multi-genre video game music band comprised of drummer/percussionist Kevin Lin, pianist/keyboardist Dominic Cerquetti, and vocalist/keyboardist Erica Cerquetti. We started out by haphazardly setting up in the hallways of nerd culture conventions such as MAGFest, Otakon, and Katsucon, and eventually made our way to larger stages over the years. However, we never forgot our roots and where we drew our inspirations from. If you remember what it’s like to crowd around a CRT TV at 2AM with your best friends for a dozen rounds of Mario Kart 64 followed by no-slappers in GoldenEye 007, you’ll be right at home dancing along and calling out VGM tracks with us.
We play from not only a multitude of classic console titles, but also PC and Mac games, 90s electronic dance and rock, 80s funk, and 70s jazz swing. By bringing audience requests into our acts alongside heavy use of musical improvisation, we aim to make every moment of our performances memorable and unique.
