Lazy Shell is a Manhattan, NYC-based collective of musicians bringing fresh jazz, rock, and Latin-inspired takes to video game soundtracks old and new.
This tight-knit group formed through NYC’s VGM jam scene in 2022, and has been featured as the house band at Manhattan and Long Island’s monthly jam sessions. Lazy Shell runs the gamut between a traditional jazz combo and rock band instrumentation with violin, guitar, and keys-based lead instruments getting relatively equal playtime, and combines a lot of influences from bossa, swing, jazz fusion, classic rock, and more. Our song selections span a wide range of eras, splitting focus between the time-worn classics and overlooked gems from the last 10-20 years.
