Washington Metropolitan Gamer Symphony Orchestra (WMGSO)

Washington Metropolitan Gamer Symphony Orchestra (WMGSO) is a nonprofit community orchestra who exclusively performs video game music.

Our full ensemble, which has grown to more than 130 members between the orchestra and choir, typically stages concerts three times a year: full ensemble concerts in the fall and spring and chamber concerts typically in the summer. Additional chamber performances occur at fundraisers, conventions, and community outreach events throughout the year.

In celebration of our five-year anniversary, the ensemble recorded its first studio album in 2018. We plan to record our second studio album during the summer of 2023.

Much like a transformer, our small ensemble performs in multiple combinations with vocals, brass, woodwinds, strings, and percussion.
