Returning for its tenth year, the VGM CON Orchestra Clinic is a chance for participants to play their favorite music from video games in an ensemble setting!
The VGM CON Orchestra Clinic consists of rehearsals, a workshop, and a performance with music from a variety of games. The clinic is led by local violinist and music educator Ken Schuster.
We believe that incorporating the fundamentals of classical orchestral performance with the excitement and energy of music from games makes for a powerful educational experience that inspires a unique passion in life-long learners. We encourage musicians of all levels and musical backgrounds to participate. This is the music that is stuck in your head all day, and now you can PLAY it on your instrument with other fans!
Three rehearsals will take place before the concert on Sunday morning. The group rehearsals and performance are as follows:
- 3:30pm on Friday 4/17
- 5pm on Saturday 4/18
- 10am on Sunday 4/19
- Performance – 11am on Sunday 4/13
This year will feature arrangements from:

- The Legend of Zelda
- Minecraft
- Sid Meiers – Civilization
- Final Fantasy
- Halo
- Stardew Valley
- Yoshi’s Island
- And more!
Participants are encouraged to bring their own printed copies of clinic arrangements. Limited copies will be available at the event.

Music will be distributed by email before the event or in person at rehearsals. Please fill out the form below to confirm your participation and receive parts. Note that registering for the Orchestra Clinic doesn’t give you access to the convention. You still need to purchase a badge for the days you are attending.
